When the unbeatable Thanos decides to half all of the universes population, all of your favorite superheroes must bad together to stop him from getting the infinity stones before it is too late.
This is one of the most long awaited nerd films I have seen since The Hunger Games finished, and it did not disappoint. Marvel achieves things within their movies that DC unfortunately has not been able to live up to since the unfortunate Batman vs. Superman. It was action packed, exciting and hilariously funny. I cannot describe what it was like to watch all of my favorite fictional characters share the big screen for the first time. Much of the comedy from Ragnorock was definitely carried over to here, leaving the packed cinema in stitches from the banter, quirks and comments.
Throughout this Spider-man has remained my favorite (although I may be bias). He was in a situation he definitely should not have been in but tried his best to cope and be useful in the situation. Once again his obsession with old movies comes into play proving himself to have some ability which advance the adults in the room.
Thanos is definitely one of the best villeins I have ever seen in these movies. Because many of these films are aimed at a younger audience you know that it might be a struggle, but the hero will always win in the end. This film was not like this. Much like the first few seasons of The Game of Thrones, you really feel unsure about who is going to live or die at the hands of this person. Thanos feels physically unstoppable and I personally spend the whole film gripping onto the arms of my chair praying that none of my favorite where going to bite the bullet.
If I had to say something bad about this film it would be that Thanos’ objective is a little overused. He wants to half the universes population because the word is over-crowded and we simply do not have the resources to sustain it. This isn’t really a big thing and it could be simply that my choices of films are very specific, but this was something seen in both Grimsby and Kingsman: secret service.
Pro tip – I personally believe the best way to enjoy marvel movies is to never watch any trailer. That way you are going in completely blind and everything will come as a surprise.
